Programme of Events 2010
Details of the Friends' events including
those that we are attending are listed here. All the money raised benefits
the Water Tower and Historic Garden for the conservation and future restoration.
More information will
be published on the events as it becomes available. Check back regularly for any updates to the listed details. Events are subject
to change and are held at the Water Tower unless otherwise stated.

Help prepare for the season ahead, a light lunch will be provided.

Sunday 11th - First Opening of the Season
The Water Tower re-opens to the public.
Time - 2.30pm - 5.00pm every Sunday
Friday 16th - The Friends' Heritage Quiz
The popular Annual Quiz returns, Can you win this year?
Time - 7.30pm
Price - £2.50 each ticket.

Sunday 2nd - First Opening of the Hermitage
In addition to the Water Tower, the Hermitage opens from 2.30pm - 4.30pm on the first Sunday of each month.
Saturday 15th - Times Past Transport IV
A second chance to see last Autumns film show from John Freeman's Archive.
Time - 2.30pm
Price - £3.50 per ticket.
Sunday 16th - The Water Tower by Night
Supporting Museums at Night the Water Tower will be open in the late evening in addition to normal Sunday hours.
Time - 7pm - 9pm
Price - £2.50 per ticket.

Saturday 22nd - Unveiling the Tiles
By Invitation Only
Sunday 30th - Opening the Sham Bridge Display
This years exhibition is opening at 5pm in support of the Carshalton Arts Festival.
Followed by at 6pm, Sham and Illusionists Garden Bridges , an illustrated talk given by Michael Symes. Tickets for this event are £3.50.

Sunday 6th - Wandle Valley Festival
As part of the Wandle Festival Adult admission to the Water Tower is half price and free entry for children.
Time - 2.30pm - 5.00pm

Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th - Open Garden Squares Weekend

Friends' Annual General Meeting

Monuments and Mausolea in Carshalton's All Saints Church, with special reference to the Scawen Family, talk given by Andrew Skelton.

Sunday 12th - National Heritage Open Weekend
The Tower is open in support of the National Heritage Weekend and entry will be free.
Time - 2pm - 5pm

Sunday 19th - London Open House Weekend
Supporting the capital's largest archittectural festival the Tower entry will be free for the London Open House Weekend.

Sunday 26th - Last Public Opening for this Season
Last chance for general public viewing for the 2010 season.
There are still events held in the closed season and the Tower will still be available to hire or arrange private tours.

Saturday 16th - Beer, Bangers & Mash
The ever popular annual event of beer tasting with food returns. This years beer and further details will be announced later in the year.
This event is extremely popular and tickets go fast.
Time - 7.30pm
Price - £10 per ticket
Friday 29th - Times past VI
A new selection of films from John Freeman's Archive looking at British Life from the 1940s to 1960s
Time - 7.30pm for 8pm start
Price - £3.50 each ticket.
